Keeping Cicero One of the Safest Communities in Central New York!!! We strengthened the Cicero Police Department by adding more police officers & put School Resource Officers in every elementary school within our town to keep our children safe. We will continue to support the dedicated men and women of the Cicero Police Department by providing them with the training, equipment, and resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. I am committed to maintaining a visible police presence in our neighborhoods, strengthening community partnerships. A safe community is the foundation of a strong community, and I will continue working every day to protect the families, businesses, and neighborhoods that make Cicero a great place to call home.

Fiscal responsibility means treating every taxpayer dollar as if it were your own. During my time as Town Supervisor, we balanced the budget, kept spending under control, pursued grant funding, and used town resources wisely to deliver results. We invested in long-term projects, increased transparency, and planned for the future instead of relying on quick fixes or continuing to kick the can down the road. Fiscal responsibility isn’t simply about spending less—it’s about spending smarter and making every dollar work harder for Cicero families.

Strong infrastructure is the foundation of a strong community. During my administration, we have invested in safer roads, paved more roads than in previous years, improved drainage systems, enhanced our parks, and completed more off-road improvement projects than any previous administration. We have also tackled long-standing drainage issues throughout the town, including resolving the chronic flooding problems that affected the Hiller Heights neighborhood for more than 15 years. In addition, we continue to complete off-road drainage projects that help protect homes, neighborhoods, and public infrastructure. We also worked closely with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to improve the Bridgeport/Route 298 roundabout. This important traffic safety project is scheduled to move forward in 2026 and is another example of our commitment to partnering with state agencies to deliver meaningful infrastructure improvements for our community. Looking ahead, I will continue working with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), our Town Engineer, and our Highway Department to improve drainage throughout the community, including advocating for the continued maintenance and cleanup of Mud Creek. While these projects often require coordination with multiple agencies, I will continue fighting for the residents of Cicero every step of the way. I will also maintain a strong working relationship with our Highway Superintendent, foremen, and dedicated Highway Department employees to ensure our roads, drainage systems, and infrastructure remain a top priority. Together, we will continue making smart investments that improve safety, protect property, attract quality development, and preserve the quality of life our residents expect and deserve.

As new apartment developments are approved throughout the town, we will continue to work with developers to set aside a portion of those units for veterans. This initiative helps ensure that the men and women who served our country have the opportunity to remain in the community they call home with access to quality, affordable housing. Our veterans have earned our respect and support. As Town Supervisor, I will continue working to ensure they receive the opportunities, resources, and recognition they deserve. We will always stand by those who have served our nation and do everything we can to help them remain a valued part of our community.We understand the challenges many seniors face as the cost of living continues to rise. Helping seniors remain in their homes and continue to be part of the community they helped build is a priority. That's why we expanded support for seniors by adopting a sliding-scale property tax exemption, providing meaningful tax relief to those who need it most and helping make it more affordable for them to stay in their homes. We proudly expanded support for our volunteer firefighters by approving a 10% property tax exemption for eligible volunteers in recognition of their dedication and sacrifice. Looking ahead, we will continue working with our fire departments and EMS agencies to recruit the next generation of volunteer firefighters and emergency medical responders while supporting those who already serve. Whether through incentives, community partnerships, or other meaningful forms of assistance, we remain committed to strengthening our volunteer fire and EMS services and ensuring our departments have the people and resources they need to keep our community safe.

Government works best when residents know what's happening. Michael has prioritized open communication, regular updates, and transparency in local government. Next year, we will make it easier than ever for residents to stay informed about what's happening in our town. From meeting updates and community news to projects, events, and important announcements, residents will have timely information right at their fingertips. An informed community is an engaged community, and we are committed to making local government more accessible, transparent, and responsive.

With Micron's investment transforming our region, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to position Cicero for long-term success while preserving the character that makes our town a great place to call home. To prepare for that future, we adopted new development design standards and completed a comprehensive plan that will guide responsible growth for years to come. These initiatives ensure that new development reflects the quality, appearance, and character our residents expect while creating opportunities for new businesses to invest, grow, and succeed in Cicero. As our community continues to grow, we will encourage thoughtful, well-planned development that strengthens our local economy, expands employment opportunities, and enhances our quality of life—all while protecting the neighborhoods and values that make Cicero a special place to live, work, and raise a family.
